Scream 4, perhaps realizing its youngest returning principal cast member will be 37 when it’s released next year, is looking for some new hotness. Ashley Greene is a good place to start, I think. Greene, who recently got a fat raise from the Twilight franchise, along with her co-supporting players, is one of the names being pursued for Scream, along with Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, and Lake Bell. Heat Vision reports that Greene would essentially be the new Sidney, playing Neve Campbell’s cousin in the film. Supposing this is the beginning of a new trilogy, here comes three movies for her. Panetierre would play Greene’s best friend, and she’d fill the Jamie Kennedy film geek role, as well. Culkin would be the new Skeet Ulrich, and is it time for that, frankly? Lake Bell, older than the rest, is negotiating to play a police officer who knew Campbell’s Sidney in high school. [Source]

This segment deals with the painful subject of dating abuse – when a partner is either physically, emotionally, or verbally assaulted, especially on a regular basis. Hosted by young people, including Neve Campbell from the TV show Party of Five, this video is honest informative, thorough, and best of all, proactive in it’s handling of a sensitive subject. Case studies are presented coherently and clearly through interview with both victims and perpetrators of a variety of ethnicities. Adult domestic abuse counselors, and a district attorney provide practical and legal options for action, and help, while peer groups aid in emotional aspects. Appropriate for a classroom, youth group, or peer counseling program, teens will gain an understanding of the issue and be better equipped to deal with it effectively. Fast pacing, articulate and concise interviews, and creative production design all combine to make this a solid choice. Highly recommended.

FemaleFirst: The Co-operative and Dogwoof bring to UK audiences the much anticipated documentary Dirty Oil, from Academy Award®-Winning Director Leslie Iwerks.

Dirty Oil illustrates the devastating impact that Albertan tar sands developments are having on the environment and local First Nation communities.

The film is narrated by Canadian actress and environmentalist Neve Campbell (Scream, Wild Things). Campbell commented “I am excited about working on the documentary “Dirty Oil.” It’s an important film and will be a catalyst for social and environmental change in the same way that Al Gore’s “Inconvenient Truth” was in 2006.”

I added to our gallery screencaptures of TV miniserie “Sea Wolf”. The serie, is an adaptation of Jack London’s 1904 novel “The Sea-Wolf”, and is a co-production between Canada and Germany, being produced by TeleMünchen. The miniserie has two episodes.

The Simpsons are delivering some pretty big names for the 21st season of the soon-to-be longest running television show ever!

Some of the celebrities who will be lending their voice to season 21 are: Chris Martin of Coldplay, funnywoman Sarah Silverman (who will play Bart’s girlfriend in an ep.), Anne Hathaway, Jonah Hill, Neve Campbell and Seth Rogen, who wrote the 21st season’s premiere.

The new season of The Simpsons is expected to start up on September 27th on Fox.
