Neve Campbell, who returns to the Scream franchise next year, is in negotiations to star in Singularity being directed by Roland Joffe.
Josh Hartnett is toplining the drama, which takes place in 1778 and 2015, involves intertwining souls, past lives and a ring. Hartnett is playing two characters: an archeologist who falls into a coma and a British captain in colonial India.
Campbell will play Hartnett’s wife and fellow archeologist in 2015, who gets stuck in a sunken ship while trying to retrieve a ring.
The movie is scheduled to begin shooting in Australia and India in January.
Campbell, repped by ICM and Forster Entertainment, recently wrapped the indie drama Owl Song and will be seen next year reprising the role of Sidney Prescott, the heroine of the Scream movie franchise, with Scream 4.

Neve started shooting a new project yesterday. The actor Andy Nyman has posted on his Twitter account about it, but there’s not much information about it yet.
@andynyman: I start shooting a film tomorrow. A thriller called ‘The Glass Man’. It stars me, Neve Campbell & James Cosmo. I’m always nervous on day 1!
More information will be posted as soon I have it.
Thanks Manu for the heads up!
I added a few promotional stills of “Rain”, an upcoming movie which Neve act and also is producer.
Synopsis:
In Rain, Heidi, a 12-year-old girl, is one of only 29 people in the world who are allergic to rainwater.
Living with her mother in a remote house on the edge of a forest she devises tests to chart the progress of her allergic reactions.
When her young friend Celia visits and asks for her help, Heidi has to decide whether to risk the terrible consequences of going out in a violent rainstorm or waiting to see if help will come from another, more mysterious quarter.
‘Rain’ is set to be released in 2011.

Last night, ET Canada featured an on-set segment with Neve Campbell. And while much of the footage was recycled from last week’s domestic exclusive, the interview portions were much more encompassing. The actress revealed that her initial reaction to the film was an adamant “No!” but that “I got to a place that I realized it might just be fun.” It was the excitement of the fans and the chance to reunite with director Wes Craven and franchise veterans Courteney Cox and David Arquette that ultimately swayed her to return. Campbell called working with actress Emma Roberts (who plays Sidney Prescott’s cousin, Jill) “fun ‘cause Sidney doesn’t have a lot of family left. Or friends…” (See video here.)
Edit: Added captures, not the same good quality as the previous ones, unfortunaly.
My friend Bri has recorded and send me the HD video for ET footage for Scream 4. I did some captures and added to our gallery:
