On December 6 & 7, Burn Up, starring Bradley Whitford, Neve Campbell and Rufus Penry-Jones, which aired in the UK on BBc2 in 2008, is finally going to bow in the US on cable’s Planet Green.

Burn Up is a two part tele-pic about the international conspiracy behind the oil industry and climate change. Planet Green’s head, Laura Michalchyshyn, told Daily Variety “I think it’s ground-breaking, it’s provocative, and it’s really dead on in terms of messaging for this channel.”

Penry-Jones plays an oilman, Whitford’s a Washington lobbyist and Campbell portrays an environmental activist who upsets their status quo. I’ll say that I’m definitely excited to see Bradley Whitford back in the Beltway! You Wingnuts know what I’m talking about…

Planet Green is airing Burn Up to coincide with the U.N. Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen that begins Dec. 7. Off-air promotion will largely be online and via social media so keep an eye out on the interwebs and help get the message out.

This will be the cable station’s first venture into scripted content.

“Planet Green”?! What’s that?! I never heard of this station. With my luck, and crappy cable service, I probably won’t get it. :(
